DIABETES EDUCATION
AT THE LONGSTREET CLINIC, P.C.
Diabetes Self-Management Classes are available for:

Newly diagnosed diabetes patients
-
Type I or Type II diabetics who have not
participated in classes
-
Patients who want current diabetes information
The classes provide comprehensive diabetes education including nutrition management, training on glucose monitoring, incorporating physical activity into your lifestyle, self-care to prevent problems associated with diabetes and much more.
A Registered Dietitian and a Registered Nurse, both Certified Diabetes Educators, provide training.
In order to educate and improve awareness of diabetes-related health problems, The Longstreet Clinic sponsors the Northeast Georgia Diabetes 101 educational day-long program. Information about this year's event is coming soon.
A diabetes support group also meets on the second Tuesday of each month (except July and September) at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in TLC's second floor classrooms at 725 Jesse Jewell Parkway, Gainesville.
