Longstreet Clinic Laser & Aesthetics is now offering Longstreet Laser Institute, a one-day course in compliance with the Georgia Composite Medical Board that offers students the opportunity to obtain the three certificates required to apply for Laser Practitioner or Assistant Practitioner licenses in the state of Georgia.
This Certified Laser training course is for licensed health care professionals such as licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and physicians (MDs and DOs) or a licensed esthetician or master cosmetologist. The course will be instructed by our very own Andrew Reisman, M.D., Medical Esthetician and Laser Assistant, Lisa Lamb, and Medical Esthetician Michele Salazar.
The course will be presented in three parts:
- Part 1: Lasers 101: An overview of the practical theories of the utilization of laser.
- Part 2: Observation: A demonstration that will allow students to observe the administration of laser treatment by a licensed laser practitioner.
- Part 3: Fire that Laser: An interactive portion where students are able to apply their practical studies by practicing their techniques, hand placements, spacing and more.
