Internal Medicine

Providing comprehensive primary care for adults across Northeast Georgia.

The internists at Longstreet Clinic are experienced in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of most medical conditions which commonly arise from late adolescence through the geriatric years.

According to the American Board of Internal Medicine, internists serve as personal physicians who provide comprehensive, long-term care, “managing both common and complex illnesses of adolescents, adults and the elderly.”

Our internists are recognized by the Diabetes Physician Recognition Program, Heart/Stroke Recognition Program and Patient Centered Medical Home Program, all facilitated by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The patient-centered medical home (PCMH) is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between patients and their clinical care teams. Practices that earn recognition have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and a patient-centered approach to care.

Physicians accepted through the programs have established track records for providing excellent diabetes care, as well as treatment for patients with cardiac conditions or those who have suffered a stroke.
