He joined Longstreet Clinic’s Center for Weight Management in October 2021 after working as a surgeon at Temple Health in Philadelphia, PA, where he also served as Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery and Medical Director for Bariatric Surgery at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Velazquez, who also served as an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at Temple’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine, was named a top doctor in surgery by Philadelphia magazine from 2018 to 2021. He welcoming patients at our locations in Suwanee, Braselton and Gainesville in October 2021. He was named an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor in 2023 and 2024.
