ATLANTA – Two Gainesville area physicians were sworn into office in key leadership positions with the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG)during its annual House of Delegates meeting in Savannah on October 21.
Andrew B. Reisman, M.D., was elected to the position of second vice president for MAG, while E. Frank McDonald, M.D., was elected to a third term as vice speaker of MAG’s House of Delegates. Dr. Reisman is a family physician with The Longstreet Clinic, P.C., in Oakwood, while Dr. McDonald is a neurologist with The Longstreet Clinic, P.C., in Gainesville.
“It says a lot about the caliber of the physicians we have in North Georgia,” says Jack M. Chapman Jr., M.D., with Gainesville Eye Associates, who served as MAG’s president in 2007-2008. “And it should give our residents some great peace of mind knowing they have access to some of the best medical care in the world.”
With more than 7,000 members, MAG is the leading voice for the medical profession in Georgia – which includes every specialty in every practice setting. MAG membership has increased by more than 20 percent since 2010.
With 15 specialties in its portfolio, The Longstreet Clinic, P.C. cares for its patients at its main campus in Gainesville – as well as offices in Oakwood, Buford, Braselton, Dahlonega, Baldwin, Cumming, and Toccoa.
